Red Alert 1 opened a second Command and Conquer saga, based on an alternate timeline in which Einstein travelled back in time and killed Hitler.

It was for many months the Top 1 game, and many people across the globe still play it recurrently. It was also the only c&c to have two expansion packs: Counterstrike (16 new missions) and Aftermath (18 new missions plus 9 new units, and secret stuff)
