How we were born
I once e-mailed Hybrid because I had the idea to make a site listing all
CNC Sites and to put ours ownsomewhere and grow with traffic -without
using that dirty multipliers. Who can believe a fan site has more than
1 million visits a month? Hybrid agreed on this, but we suspended it till
March 2002 due to my moving to Spain. After this he told me Black Eagle
could set up a message board and welcome to the team. Also, poedguy, designer
of their joint site, RA2 Dimension, entered the team for making coding/scripts/design.
After a few months Dancam joined the team and started interviewing people
in the community. That's it! We are little crew, but we all make lots
of stuff, have other sites, etc, but as said, better being 5 than 1, site
grows in quality. We will keep on our other sites, but our idea is to
make this one grow as well, and turn into a meeting point for editors/players.
Enjoy!

New Members and Move to CnCGuild.net
After that we opened up at cncguild.com with a host which we thought would
be a reliable and helpful host, sounded persuading and had a good hosting
package. After we settled we found the CNC Guild was not attracting many
fans, so we decided to expand, we added 5 new sections to the site. With
some common disagreement we found there was not enough staff to run. So
we asked certain people in the community to join us and they did. Eventually
after problem after problem with the host we decided to leave and get
look for a more reliable host, I got a great offer for a great price.
And here we are now, with our new host at CNCGuild.net. Enjoy a better
CNC Guild!

What
was the CNC Guild before Revora?
The CNC Guild was a Game Editing Network mainly envolved around Command
and Conquer™ We have been around since April 2002 and moved from varies
of hosts and addresses. Yet we only edited/modded C&C Games. The site
was mainly involved around C&C. We promised to include other games
eventually, thus when we had the chance, we merged with Origin
Network and Revora
Creative Network was born! Most of us that ran this site have been
around for two years or longer in the community and we are well known
to the C&C Community. This site was made to unite us as one and draw
traffic to our sites and projects as well as invite other people in the
community to join us. Revora now expands our aim so other communities
can also join us,
Who founded/started the CNC Guild?
4 people did orignally founded the CNC Guild. First it was two then grew
too four. ArgCmdr and I discussed the orginal idea. I then got the other
2 other people to help. The site was created to divert traffic to our
own sites and projects. Orginally called CNC Guide until some decided
the name sucked and thought up CNC Guild. There are more than 4 people
running the guild now, the first four people were Me (Hybrid), ArgCmdr,
Black Eagle and Poedguy. Since then we had new recuits, including DanCam,
Comrade Jerkov, Speeder, Xeno, ImmoMan, Martin Killer, Hrod89, Dark Dragon, Cr@zyiv@n, Fenring,
Skywaters and more.
Why Three Forums on the Guild/Revora?
Well the reason why the Guild had three forums was because we decided
to split the Guild up in sections. The Main Guild Forum specialised on
Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge (now merged with Origin and known as Revora)
and before modding, the RenEClips Forum Focus' on Renegade and Generals
Modding and other games. The Project Perfect Mod Forums is for their own
use.
What do we feel the Guild Achieved?
We feel the Guild achieved its general goal to unite sites together and
make a community dedicated to modding. Our other targets of 2004 was to
move onto other games and expand our universe/community, which we have
now down with Origin to make Revora.
What will become of the Guild Now?
The Guild is currently a news hub for the C&C Community, we are slowly
going to expand it to restore the coverage it once had for the community
and our own modifications. The CNC Guild currently allows all the community
to post updates of sites/mods on its main page (via Revora's Forums),
it also will continue hosting C&C Sites under its domain name. Many
other sites have also spawned from the Guild as a few of our higher staff
decided to go their own way, e.g. Dancam: 1ignition
Entertainment and Fenring: Freedom
Studios. New C&C Guild staff which was chosen in September 2005 promised expansion of the website. It is going to make it more related to global C&C community, events but also to enhance support of it's modifications.
CNC Central and CNC Guild merger
On the 26th July 2005, CNC Central and CNC Guild merged on the retirement
of the_kid. All files and information has been moved acrossed and used
approprately. To view CNC Centrals History, click here.
C&C Guild merges with CNC3.net and CNCRA3.net
On July 6th 2009, the Guild was merged with CNC3.net and CNCRA3.net, Revora's C&C3 and Red Alert 3 divisions, to form an expanded and enlarged Guild. The forums were merged appropriately, and the hostees from the other two divisions were incorporated into the Guild. Both CNC3.net and CNCRA3.net's websites are being minimally maintained until the creation of the new Guild site. Nighthawk, division leader of CNC3.net, took over control of the Guild upon completion of the merger.
