Mig Eater Interview
- D-Day 07/06/04
Dancam: Hey, and thanks again for doing this
interview. First question, When did you start work on D-day and why did you
decide to do a WW2 modification?
Mig Eater: This is a very long story that could require a few pages
but in sort I didn’t start D-day I took it over after the original owner couldn’t carry one any more,
a lot like what happened with Code Red
Dancam: Q. Could you perhaps give a few details on your favourite units?
Mig Eater: Hmm this is a hard one (I have about 200 to pick from :P ) any one
that knows me well tho knows I love the E-25, with it’s good ROF & sloped armour, it can stand up to most other
tanks & come out ok. Next would be the Churchill flamethrower tank, it has a very cool looking flame weapon that
can wipe out waves of infantry at a time.
Dancam:
How do you intend to work the AI in your modification?
Mig Eater:
Not really my department, André is doing the AI
& I generally leave it up to him to decide how the AI works. But I can
say from what I have see & he has told it will be rock hard & that taking
on just one brutal AI will be a challenge
Dancam: What new game modes are you
including with the mod, and could you explain how each works?
Mig Eater:
1939-1941:
In this game mode you will use units that were only built at the beginning
of the war
1941-1945
In this game mode you will use units that were only built near to the
end of the war
1945-1955
In this game mode there will be concept & prototypes units that were designed
at the end of the war, plus maybe a few post war units to fill in the
gaps
Capture the flag:
Instead of building your standard base the MCV will deploy in to an invincible
barracks which can only be captured with an engineer
Blitzkrieg:
Simple, win with in 10 minutes (may change) or lose. Every thing in this
mode will have quicker build times to help tho
Survivor:
You will only have your starting units & any bonus ones you may find laying
around the map
Dancam:
Is there anything else that I've missed
that you would like to mention?
Mig Eater:
Yes, the best is yet to
come…
Dancam: Thanks again for taking part in this interview and good luck with D-Day.
