AR2 v4.0 seemed like a finished Total Conversion, What are some of the changes featured in v5.0?

AR2 v4.0 was complete in the sense that the basic plannings and side hierarchy were done. In v5.0 we are working to further polish the mod and put in original graphics for all structures and animations, as we believe they are what people want most. That being said, 5.0 will not feature many new units or structures, but instead it will run much smoother and look much better.

Will the Nemesis campaign be included in v5.0?

The campaign is worked on separately from v5.0 by different members. It is hard to say whether or not it will be in at the moment, but we are making the campaign compatible with all the features and fixes in 5.0.

Will the scrin be playable or at least featured on a few maps?

The Scrin will not be playable, but will make appearance on the campaign as well as several multiplayer maps as random threats.

Can we expect new multiplayer maps in v5.0?

There will be new multiplayer maps put in as well as some old maps taken out.

Will there be any multiplayer maps on a planet other than Atrigo?

I bet you have noticed the funny way we organize the maps in the map selection screen heh. Unfortunately plans of adding other planets were long cancelled since version 2.0, and there is no new plan of extending the storyline to include other planets right now.

Can you inform us a bit about the new explosions to be featured in v5.0?

They are rendered exclusively for AR2 by one of the team members Gamemate. When designing them we intended to have them look colourful and 'smoky' to fit the chaotic battles of AR2 more. They come in a wide variety and will add a lot of life and originality to AR2.

Would you please tell us a little about the new artwork in AR2 v5.0?

Most of the new artwork are done by Gamemate and Godwin. Basically we are now making every structure in the game in original designs and graphics. The process we go by is to have Gamemate make the basic structure in 3D and then let Godwin touch up the renders like by adding snow and damaged frames. Godwin also does the cameos for all structures in 2D before we put the graphics ingame. Right now we are finished with all Nemesis graphics and working on Genesis ones, which you may have seen on the AR2 website.

Will the Nemesis have any aircraft in v5.0?

The ptarmigans will remain the only aircraft for the Nemesis in v5.0. We plan to keep the clear distinction between the two sides intact.

Can you tell me about "The armegeddon'?

The 'Armageddon' is what we call the Nemesis 'superunit'. It is a huge 3-legged mech unit made to carry maximum firepower. Nemesis reckoned that a mobile unit capable of dealing superweapon level damage.

Approximately what percent of AR2 v5.0 is complete?

Around 60-70% I would say.

When can we expect a release, or expect to be given a release date?

To be realistic, we expect v5.0 to come out in the summer although the mod is getting quite close to completion now.

And lastly, do you have any exclusive sceenshots you can give me?

I only have one right now, but you can always come back anytime and ask if I have more.
