I have decided not to update the forums to 2.0.8. It causes too much hassle. I instead will remove unneeded hacks and install a few new ones, which I was planning to install. I will also be adding a few new forum skins and developing one to go with the new site design. So the forums should not go offline after all  |

CNC Guild Site News:
+ We have a new article written by Skywaters (Chantillas decided to rename again), called The Community. Please visit the article section, or click here to read it.
+ All the Sub domains should be 100% working and functional now. I would also like to announce RA2 Graphics Heaven, which as been started up by mig at the Team Revenge website. This site will feature all Team Revenge's work that they plan to release to the public.
+ YR Argentina now hosts TS + RA1 maps. It has 2 TS maps made by Allied General, that were originally on the CNC Map Guild, before we decided to close it due to inactivity, and it also has one RA1 map also made by Allied General. If you have any TS/RA1 maps to submit. Send them to ArgCmdr.
+ Tiberian Alert's Website will also be closing down soon. We have decide to go private, as in not release any information to the Public until a beta is done. This will allow us not to feel pressured by the public to get the mod done in a set amount of time. People who applied to for TA beta testing, check your inboxes in the next few days as we will be replying and telling you whether you have the place or not.
+ We also have a new hosted site. Command Imperium. Although the site is not up yet I can tell you its Skywaters (chantillas)'s Generals Modification. The site design is still being developed by ArgCmdr but we hope to get it up for you in the next week or so.
Thats all for today folks
Enjoy..... |

Article - Server Move! - Posted on 10 Apr 2004 by Des08tor |
|
|
We are moving to a server shortly. This will cause downtime and some problems for a short of a while as possible. Because we have a large up-date. We have to configure the new forums first. This requires the DNS of this domain to be changed to the new server, but our files to say on the old one. This means this site can now be accessed at http://216.127.67.122 and the forums at http://ensim.mbarron.net/~forum.cncguild.net/phpbb
If you wish to access a sub domain, please put http://ensim.mbarron.net/~ then the sub domain without http:// straight after the ~ into your browser address bar. The sites might have some problems with links but if you use your knowledge, you should be able to figure it all out
Please use these urls until the transfer is complete. The site will be fully funtional again by the 16th, the forums by the 18th if not before.
-Regards
The CNC Guild Team |

Article - Heat! - Posted on 07 Apr 2004 by ArgCmdr |

Some say i really need holidays. But when im on modding rampages, im almost unstoppable...
I have only one bad new to tell, which is that Halo: Age of Apocalypse has been cancelled. The team hasnt got enough time to keep it up. On the other hand, their graphics have been released as a resource pack on YR Argentina in a new section called GFX Packs
I think no one said it here, but Broken Alliance is on Alpha testing phase. Lord Kal needs appliers, you can get into the alpha team, on their forum
Now, talking about my rampage, i must say i uploaded one of the first ever maade, fan-made music themes for RA2 onto YR Argentina. Its called Mass Production, and it lengths about 3.30 minutes. Its in IMA ADPCM format (RA2), so, all what is needed to do is code and add (this specially can be interesting for modders who want to add something new). Its particularly fitting for loading screens, but well, up to the user i say ;).
Talking about music, the theme cast for 2021: Cataclysm is almost fully decided: There will be a total of 20 music themes, of which 10 are now compiled: You will find very well known themes there, and some unhedit ones.
And then again, talking about 2021: Cataclysm, i thought it was worth showing off some day...the day has come, and im proposing a competition: Basically, whomever guesses what is the unit showed below, gets a 2021: Cataclysm award winner signature, plus gets to see the next showed unit before public does. In case youre just curious, below you can find a thumb of what this unit is (I suggest clicking on one of the link above for the rest). The official thread for guessing is located here.

This is the same exact post i made at YrArg, but oh well, it should do:
As if there wasnt enough people ripping off others, now some punk on eBay is selling map CDs, violating the intellectual property of the authors (visibly, Cannis and ACK, but there are at least 300 maps in the CD hes selling), and at the same time, EA´s EULA.
Go bug at eBay, we cant let this keep happening:

Article - A Very Sad Time..... - Posted on 04 Apr 2004 by Des08tor |

I would like to hold a thought for a modder of the CNC Guild, who at this time is in pain and may not be with us much longer. MaperRiz, whom is suffering from Lieukaemia, will be missed deeply by all of us here at the Guild, and all around the community, especially to those he helped.
Maper was an active member in our community, he contributed where and when he could. He will always be remembered as a helpful young modder, who had great ambition.
Maper was never scared of his disease or where it could leave him. It just made him stronger and strengthen his personality. I would like to request everyone think of Maper at this time, and think of what he gave, but most importantly remember who he was. He will be deeply missed by us all. :crying:
Maper, we love you! You will be remembered always! |

Article - Savage War Released! - Posted on 02 Apr 2004 by Des08tor |
|
|
I
would like to announce that Savage
War has finally been released.
[quote by from CNC Guild Announcements Forum]
"Finally, after all the hard work, problems and errors, Savage War is
finally done. The public beta contains a wad of changes to the units and
also adds a few more. You can download Savage War (and the music expansion
pack) from here. Unfortunately, I'll have to move the game back to Saturday
evening. At the same time this comes as an advantage. If any of you were
unable to go to the game (for time zone reasons) then this may make it
easier. Now it will be at 7:00pm on the Saturday, which will still be
a six-player game. As well, if anyone would like to help in any way with
the mod, it would be greatly appreciated. What I need most is people who
can make voxels or SHPs. I may require some new infantry models and maybe
naval/aerial voxels.
Finally, I'd like to say that I'm already preparing for the next version.
Version 1.0 Final will fix all the bugs found in this version, then v1.1
(or 2.0, whichever I decide ) will be an expansion. I'm hoping to add
more country-specific units and maybe even maps. I can reveal one new
unit that will be put in. Germany will be receiving the Messerschmitt
Bf109e. While it won't be identical to its WW2 counterpart (for a start
it needs to be VTOL), it will keep the same basic look. Eventually, the
mod may lead to proper weather in RA2, if you don't mind parting with
your weather storms.
So what are you waiting for? Head over to Savage
War now! |
