Direct from the site:
"Important: If you downloaded AR2 4.0 within the first 12 hours of its release, please re-download the file as we have fixed an important error. To make sure that you have the latest version, check your version number. The updated version says 4.0* instead of pre 4.0 or 4.0 in the mod launcher and ingame."
So check your mod version and if it doesn't have an '*' after the number you should download the newest version. |

Yes thats right, the latest version of the ever popular Allies Revenge 2 mod has been released, here's whats new in this version,
- Fixed crucial bugs and other reported errors
- Over 5 New Units/ Structures: Nemesis Ptarmigan, Nemesis Phlogiston, Nemesis Watch Tower, Genesis Schizogen, Nemesis Sclerite, and more!
- Overhauled side and unit balancing giving new game play experience.
- Over 15 new skirmish and multiplayer maps.
- Addition of 3 Nemesis Tech Structures on maps bringing new strategies.
- New cities and civilian buildings on maps.
- Over 6 sets of custom unit voices.
- Graphical improvements to buildings and units, including new image for Nemesis war factory and improved graphics for Incinerator and Rejuvenator.
- Improved game speed and online game performance.
- Reduced file size, from 32.7 mb to 20.3 mb.

Vlad seems to have lost interest in CnC and has taken down AE. Though alot of people hated Vlad I was hoping CnC Guild and AE would develop good relations and not fight all the time. I was also looking forward to CnC Guild and AE competing on who will be bigger but it seems that wont happen. Anyways go to arm-ent.com and read the message Vlad left. |

Do you need hosting? CnC Guild gives off free hosting to Ra2/YR/TS/Generals mods. You may get limited space and forums. If anyone needs hosting please talk to me over MSN @ sydr0@hotmail.com or email me there and I can do it. CnC Guild is the biggest Ra2/YR community out there. |

If your comp has been crashing whenever u connect, you probably have MSBlaster or Lovesan (or one of its other variants). Go to www.symantec.com and grab the worm remover for it. DO NOT VISIT MICROSOFT WINDOWS UPDATE AFTER YOU'VE CLEARED YOUR SYSTEM, because they're fecked up by viruses of late!
Right, now that's out of the way...
A bit of progress on TA at last, lol!
I've called a halt to changes being made. What we currently have is what'll stay for now!
YR Arg is still going on (I dunno how one can live on a 23k modem!). He's even got a new mod for you all to download (not on his webspace YET, but when he gets the chance he will have). He also has , a new crate anim and a yellow game GUI to go with the other ones he did a short while ago, and loads of other neat stuff. You know where to go, so I won't patronise u with the link ;-)
Also, Des0's Generals project: Tiberian Twilight: Ignited is soon to have a site up, thanks to Tratos.
Sure, I'm running out of news, but with everyone who has a project posting as well, my columns'll get shorter and shorter!

CNC
Guild is getting bigger and bigger by the second. We are one of the largest
Command and Conquer Community Sites around. We have more sites and projects
hosted than any other Command and Conquer Network. We also have one of the
most active mods and forums around. We are still expanding and will gain
a few more Projects hopefully soon enough.
We have in total of 11 Yuri's Revenge mods. They are RA2 Des08tor: Yuri's Return, Robot Storm, Sudden Strike, D-Day, Dune, The Revolution ROTC, Tiberian Alert, YR Argentina, 2021 Cataclysm, YR Revolution and last but not least Uplink Mod.
We have two Generals mods in development, they are CnC RenEClips and Tiberian Twilight: Ignited
Make sure you check the forums to see their development or their sites.

I have uploaded FA2YR V1.02 to the CNC Guild due to many people having problems downloading it from Matze's site.
If you wish to get it:
Left Side Bar > Downloads > Editing Tools/Files > Red Alert 2 / Yuris Revenge Tools and Files > Final Alert 2 Yuris Revenge 1.02.
This is not the official version. It was not released by EA, so if you do not like it, the Official V1.01 is in the same location:

Apparently strike-team.net is haveing connection to host problems is because of a DOS flood attack. This method of attack is caused when a bunch of false connections to a server to shut it down. I think the CNCguild should take measures to prevent this kind of attack to our servers. Thats all i have for now. |

The XCL at Strike-Team.com will be having a mass invasion of their new RA2 and YR servers today at 10:00am. These new servers are cheat free and should allow for some very fair and clean battles. The XCL also has a matching filter that allows users to black list cheaters and map hackers. This is a very good C&C community so go to www.strike-team.net and register at the site and the forums and prepared for the best cheat and map hack free time on RA2 and YR. I'll see you on the battlefield! |

Once again it's time for my community news slot (every sat-sun I will do one of these).
YR Argentina has updated with some cool-looking new menu bars for use in YR (I'll be getting them just to see how they're done!)
Arg's still having God knows how many troubles with his Internet and his comp (Do Argentinian PC companies deal with technical support...?)
TA is progressing nicely. Although the site hasn't changed much, I can assure you that much is changing internally, with new staff, ideas, Spidey's AWESOME shps and debates raging on just about everything.
Cataclysm needs your support! The only reason it's not active right now is Arg's comp trouble. The mod itself is alive, but progress is halted until he's back online, AlertSun is complete and YR Argentina is back on its feet.
AR2 is in need of good mission makers to help them do the Nemesis campaign. Also, they're going over the final gameplay checks. The release date for 4.0 has been missed due to campaign delays, but I'm sure it'll be out soon (help them out, missioneers!)
Red Generals isn't dead. They're provin' it too with their battle screenies. Go see and show your support. (BTW DES0, GET THE BLOODY LINK TO REDGENS ON THE MAIN PAGE FIXED!)
Anyway, I'll stop here to give some of our other staff members and hosted members a chance to post!

Right, this column'll be a bit shorter than the last (less time to gather info), but still, the community's moved on as it always does!
YR Argentina has some cool new stuff, including another practice target, a mission-type tutorial and some ace new cameos from the UT map CTF-November (I love UT, so I'll be getting them).
Tratos has unveiled a new TC project for YR (that's 2 TCs he's got on the go, Red Generals being the other). It's called Project Exodus and it's a safe bet that it'll rule!
Fenring has started up a cameo resource section alongside his 5(!) modding projects. I'd hate to see his server space usage, lol!
And Des0 has moved onto windows XP at his GF's request (stop snickering at the back!). That means he has to reinstall EVERYTHING and so he hasn't been able to upload too much lately. The FA2YR1.002.exe download will be up as soon as he has restored his SmartFTP and got his comp back in full working order.
Um...I can't think of much else to write :-S , so I'll sign off here and let you go exploring!
